Iraqi EITI Launch Conference 10 July
2010.
The government
of Iraq has officially expressed its intention to join the EITI and is
organizing to that effect, an IEITI launch conference sponsored by His
Excellency Prime Minister Noori Al-Maleki. The conference will be held
at Al Rasheed Hotel in Baghdad, on
July 10 and 11, 2010. The agenda will include discussing and approving
a Work Plan, Stakeholders Council Bylaws, as well as confirming the
nomination of Government, Companies, and civil society representatives
to the Stakeholders counsil.

organization, and contact details. Conference Coordinator will contact
applicants directly with a complete registration details with all
logistical information, including information about hotel
accommodations. Visa applications will be the direct responsibility of
individual participants. IEITI will issue a formal invitation letter to
all registered participants which should be used for applying for the
visa.
